Bienvenida del Director de la Escuela

Conozca a Lynn Casto

Lynn D. Casto fue nombrada Directora de la Escuela en octubre de 2017, siendo efectivo el nombramiento el 1 de julio de 2018.

Se incorpor¨® a Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø procedente de la Sanford School de Hockessin, DE, donde ha desempe?ado el cargo de directora de Upper School desde 2013.

Aport¨® a Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø una impresionante experiencia en educaci¨®n escolar independiente. Estudi¨® en la Columbus (OH) School for Girls, donde descubri¨® su pasi¨®n por el atletismo y las artes. En el Davidson College (Carolina del Norte), se licenci¨® en Historia del Arte mientras jugaba al lacrosse en la Divisi¨®n I de la NCAA. Posteriormente obtuvo dos masters en educaci¨®n: uno en educaci¨®n art¨ªstica por la Ohio State University (donde tambi¨¦n fue miembro de la Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society) y otro en direcci¨®n de escuelas privadas por el Klingenstein Center del Teachers College de la Columbia University.

Antes de trabajar en Sanford, desempe?¨® funciones docentes y directivas en Charlotte Country Day School (Carolina del Norte) durante 13 a?os. Tambi¨¦n fue directora del Departamento de Bellas Artes de la escuela de 2007 a 2013. Comenz¨® su carrera docente en Brookwood School (GA), donde ejerci¨® como profesora de arte en los cursos medio y superior, adem¨¢s de impartir las asignaturas de AP Studio y AP Art History. Tambi¨¦n fue entrenadora de los equipos de softball y f¨²tbol.

She was recently appointed to the 20-person Heads Circle, a new think tank created by Independent School Management to help independent schools around the country become more effective and sustainable. She is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools Board of Trustees.
