Rencontrer Lynn Casto

Lynn D. Casto a ¨¦t¨¦ nomm¨¦e chef d'¨¦tablissement en octobre 2017, avec effet au 1er juillet 2018.

Elle a rejoint Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø apr¨¨s avoir travaill¨¦ ¨¤ l'¨¦cole Sanford de Hockessin (DE), o¨´ elle occupait le poste de directrice de l'¨¦cole sup¨¦rieure depuis 2013.

Elle a apport¨¦ ¨¤ Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø une exp¨¦rience impressionnante en mati¨¨re d'enseignement dans des ¨¦coles ind¨¦pendantes. Elle a fr¨¦quent¨¦ l'¨¦cole pour filles de Columbus (OH), o¨´ elle s'est d¨¦couvert une double passion pour l'athl¨¦tisme et les arts. Au Davidson College (NC), elle a obtenu une licence d'histoire de l'art tout en jouant ¨¤ la crosse dans la division I de la NCAA. Elle a ensuite obtenu deux ma?trises en ¨¦ducation : l'une en ¨¦ducation artistique ¨¤ l'Ohio State University (o¨´ elle ¨¦tait ¨¦galement membre de la Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society) et l'autre en direction d'¨¦coles priv¨¦es au Klingenstein Center du Teachers College de l'universit¨¦ de Columbia.

Avant de rejoindre Sanford, elle a exerc¨¦ des fonctions d'enseignement et de direction ¨¤ la Charlotte Country Day School (NC) pendant 13 ans. Elle a ¨¦galement dirig¨¦ le d¨¦partement des beaux-arts de l'¨¦cole de 2007 ¨¤ 2013. Elle a commenc¨¦ sa carri¨¨re d'enseignante ¨¤ la Brookwood School (GA), o¨´ elle a ¨¦t¨¦ professeur d'art au coll¨¨ge et au lyc¨¦e, tout en enseignant l'AP Studio et l'AP Art History. Elle a ¨¦galement entra?n¨¦ des ¨¦quipes de softball et de football.

She was recently appointed to the 20-person Heads Circle, a new think tank created by Independent School Management to help independent schools around the country become more effective and sustainable. She is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools Board of Trustees.
