Students earn awards in 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing competition

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø is celebrating the achievements of three students in the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards regional competition.

  • Yutian (Yvonne) Zhou ¡¯26 (far right) earned three awards¡ªGold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention¡ªfor her outstanding work. As a Gold Key recipient, her piece will advance to the national level for further adjudication. In addition, her work (appearing below) will be showcased in a student exhibition at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art from Feb. 8 to April 16.
  • Ella Hu ¡¯27 (pictured above, far left) also demonstrated exceptional storytelling skills, receiving an Honorable Mention for her short story, ¡°A Seasonal Visitor.¡±
  • Freddy Muler ¡¯26 received recognition for his poetic talent, earning a Silver Key for ¡°Symphony in Blue and Red¡± and an Honorable Mention for ¡°The Red Tree.¡±

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, conducted annually by the national nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, recognize creative excellence in young writers and artists across the country.
